How to choose pad printing silicone

  In printing industry, pad printing as the unique properties of the silicone pad enable it to pick the image up from a flat plane and transfer it to a variety of surfaces, such as flat, cylindrical, spherical, etc. Pad printing (also called tampography) is a printing process that can transfer a 2-D image onto a 3-D object, compound angles, textures, concave, or convex surfaces etc. So it's very important to choose right pad printing silicone make pad printing head.

  We have tin cure pad printing silicone (silicone:catalyst mix ratio is 100:1.5-3) addition cure pad printing silicone (silicone : catalyst mix ratio is 10:1 by weight or volume), but how to choose right pad printing silicone ? For example, if you want to make pad printing head for tableware, then better use addition cure pad printing silicone, coz it's cured silicone safety contact with food; if you want to make pad printing head for industry grade products then better choose tin cure pad printing silicone, it's price much cheaper than addition silicone, cured silicone all have good elastic and tenacity ability.

  Pad printing silicone hardness can adjust via add silicone oil, if some clients need add silicone oil, then first step is mix silicone part A and silicone oil  with the ratio of 10: 3 by weight (silicone oil added also can according to customer requirements, but should not add too much), after silicone and oil mixing evenly, according to the proportion of 100: 1.5 by adding part B curing agent then mix again and stir well.
